While the Dominican Republic in so many ways feels like paradise, it’s also a country with a high percentage of teenage marriage, teenage births, oppression of women, inadequate public school systems and local people living under challenging medical conditions. There are also many people living in sheds that can not hold against wind or rain.
Being able to provide direct help to people who need it the most and see how much the contributions mean for each individual – gives us motivation and the courage to further develop the programs
